How to use SecuriToken with Google Mail

From version 1.2 onwards you can use SecuriToken for two-factor authentication on your Google GMail account.

The process is described below:

Set up your GMail account

Log on to your GMail account as normal. from the menu in the top right hand side of the screen select account settings:



Once in to your settings, select Using 2-step verification from the personal settings/security section:



On the next screen press Start Setup. Choose any of the smartphone applications in the dropdown list, it doesn't matter which as long as you don't opt for SMS. You will be presented with a bar code of your seed. Press the link under the barcode: Can't scan the barcode? You will be given a base32 encoded copy of your seed. copy this seed for use in SecuriToken.

Set up SecuriToken

In the SecuriToken application add a new token. when you are entering the seed select Base32 Encoded (80bit) and paste your code into the text box. Finally, press Add;

Note: Ensure that 30 Seconds and 6 Digits are also selected.



Google require that you enter a verification code. Double click your token entry and the OTP/verification code will be generated:



Your token is now ready for future use. SecuriToken can be purchased on the Mac App Store (Click the link below).
